JEF is concerned with a range of issues that impact our society today, and future generations.  We try to focus on current priorities, and we monitor issues that have been important to us from our beginning. We call these issues "Beyond the Core."

 

We know that the right to vote is essential to American democracy. We oppose recent efforts to restrict ballot access through so called ballot ID laws that suppress the vote.

We support action to reduce gun violence, like closing the gun show loophole, maintaining gun free schools, and keeping guns out of the hands of violent criminals and the mentally ill.

 

We understand that climate change is a scientific reality, dangerous to our health and well-being.

 

Responsible energy production is essential to America's economic progress: we favor legislative and administrative efforts to reduce the rate of global warming, and
build renewable energy resources.

Though we are a relatively  young organization JEF rededicates itself to the principles of education and communication, providing knowledge and tools to be fully-informed and fully-engaged American Jewish citizens.
